Aurora und Das Loft
Enjoy Travel hat eine Liste der 50 besten Rooftop-Bars in Europa veröffentlicht und Österreich – konkret: Wien – findet man sogar zwei Mal darauf.
Die Aurora-Bar im 10. Bezirk hat Platz 36 ergattert. (Ich kannte die Bar nicht, obwohl ich das Hotel Andaz immer wieder sehe und einige Male schon daran vorbeigefahren bin. Es liegt ein bisschen Abseits der Hauptrouten, aber ist offenbar einen Besuch wert!)

But just take note: for a guaranteed place at the window, with the best view over the rooftops of Vienna, you need to book the 4-course LOFT menu and pay in advance. Worth it?
Das Loft kennt man, klar, aber eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung konnte bisher niemand, mit dem ich mich unterhalten habe, abgeben. Immer hat irgendetwas nicht gepasst. Insofern ist das „worth it?“ schon eine berechtigte Frage, auch wenn sie sich bei Enjoy Travel auf die Vorreservierung bezieht.
Figlmüller
Die Bars sind eine Sache, aber vor kurzem erst hat auch der taste atlas einen Beitrag über die 150 legendärsten Restaurants und deren mittlerweile Kultstatus erlangten Gerichte veröffentlicht.
Auch dort ist Wien vertreten, im Gegensatz zu den Bars, sogar sehr gut positioniert: Das Figlmüller (mit dem ikonischen Gericht: Wiener Schnitzel) führt dort die Liste auf Platz 1 an!
