Ein einzelner Beitrag auf einer Website des Typs „Blog“ ist kein Blog, sondern ein Blogpost oder manchmal auch nur Post, auf keinen Fall aber ein „Blog“. Es gibt keine Blogs am Blog. Es gibt Blogposts auf Blogs.
For many, using the word blog when you mean blog post is an understandable mistake. Most who make it are new to blogging, or aren’t fluent in the language of the Web. But over the last several months it’s become clear to me that the tendency to make this error has infected even some of the most Internet-savvy denizens of the Web. And it needs to stop.

Das Problem ist, der eben zitierte Artikel von Forrest Wickman ist von 2013. Einige haben es bis heute nicht kapiert. Aber es gibt genügend Personen, die das immer und immer und immer wieder stört:
i’m becoming more and more descriptivist linguistically as i age but i will never stop using „blog“ to mean „a website with a reverse-chronological series of posts“ no matter how much everyone now seems to use it to mean „an individual post“
